What is the All of Us Research Program?

Creating the right health approaches and care for the right person is called precision medicine. Getting the right information to make that happen is the goal of the All of Us Research Program from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

To get there, we want to create the largest health database ever. By understanding people's health, neighborhood, family, and lifestyle researchers will have information to better understand health and disease. This information is essential to create a healthier future for generations to come.

What is All of Us Pennsylvania?

All of Us Pennsylvania is calling on volunteers like you. We hope you will help make history and change the future of health. The health data you share will be added to the All of Us database. Researchers can access this data to conduct studies.

This could help them see how different things, like environment, lifestyle, and genes, can impact health.

How Does It Work?

Schedule

Schedule an appointment to visit one of our locations. You can Schedule Online, or by calling 800-664-0480. Sign up for our newsletter to get updates.

Enroll

Complete the online consent process, answer health surveys and safely share your health data. If you prefer, you may complete the process at one of our enrollment centers. Our staff there can help you.

You will then be an official participant in All of Us Pennsylvania, and the national All of Us Research Program.

Participate

All people taking part will answer questions. These questions may be about lifestyle, environment, and health history. You will also be asked to share your electronic health records. We will schedule you at one of our conveniently located enrollment centers for a study visit. At this visit, you will be asked to have your physical measurements taken and give biosamples(blood and urine). This appointment is at no charge.

Contribute

We are creating the largest health data resource ever. Your health information will be added to the All of Us Research Program database. Researchers may use this data in health studies. This may lead to the next big medical breakthrough.

Ongoing Engagement

We are just getting started. Over time opportunities to take part will grow. You can be involved as much or as little as you’d like. We may ask you to complete more health surveys, share physical measurements, or provide additional consent for new research studies.

You will always have access to the data you share. This may be interesting to you, and help you learn about your health. We will tell you about the research studies that use All of Us Research Program data.
